Thank you!
I can't say they are my favorite owls, but they do rank pretty high on my list. I think my favorite is the short eared because that is the first owl that I really got a good look at in the wild.

Was this taken in Ocean Shores ? I saw a few while down there this weekend. Very nice shot!

It was near Stanwood. I'd heard that they are all over the place this year. I hope I get a chance to get out again and see them before they are gone.

Where was this taken? My dad and I are trying to pick when and where we're going to go looking for the Snowy Owls, but we're not sure where to go. We're not super close to any of the places that they've been reported at. Great photo :)

Near Stanwood. Apparently there have been many sightings around Thomle and Eide Roads. Google maps can help with getting there. If you need better directions let me know.

Stanwood's up near/in Skagit, right? We generally head up that way once a year to see the Snow Geese. I think my dad mentioned that we might try to head up there a little earlier this time around to see if we can see the owls and the geese. We'll see. Thanks for the information! And it really is a great photo.

I felt bad, but I could not pass up this opportunity. I didn't get too close, either. Don't want them getting stressed out any flying away!

Passing it up would have been crazy. Those opportunities don't come along very often.
